Nanosecond fiber laser

Label, mark, and structure a variety of materials with extreme precision using nanosecond lasers.

The JenLas® fiber ns 25-105 laser product family opens up a wealth of possibilities for laser material processing applications: the pulsed nanosecond fiber lasers are suitable for labeling, marking, and cutting different materials, as well as for structuring your surface exactly. They create laser marks on metals or plastics, for example, while extremely thin layers can be removed precisely.

JENOPTIK Nanosecond fiber laserThe JenLas® fiber ns product family is available in 20, 30, 50, and 100 wattpower categories, based on reliable, industry-tested fiber laser technology. The lasers are air-cooled, offer pulse duration settings ranging from 190 to 250 nanoseconds, and reach peak pulse powers of up to 8 kilowatts. The lasers’ immunity to back reflections has been significantly improved through optical isolators, which are built-in as standard.

The lasers are specially designed for integration into industrial plant, but can also be operated separately as modules. They are controlled entirely by interface commands or TTL signals. In addition, mixed control methods are possible, significantly simplifying fast commissioning and integration into existing industrial plant. Power is supplied via the industry-standard 24V supply voltage.

In addition, we can also provide directly adaptable collimator modules for different beam diameters, as well as a wide range of accessories for optical beam guidance systems in the form of variable beam expanders, F-theta lenses, telecentric lenses – through to entire optical subsystems for integration into machinery. We offer certified add-on modules that allow laser sources to be turned off safely in accordance with industry standards.

Plus, we can assist you with integrating laser sources into your laser processing plant; we also undertake feasibility studies in our laser application lab.

Benefits

  • Wide range of applications: the nanosecond fiber lasers open up a wealth of possibilities for laser material processing on the basis of robust laser technology
  • Various power categories: choose from four different power categories – scalable and precisely tailored to your particular application
  • Modular approach:he laser system has been specially designed to be built into plant, while observing the latest industry standards
Areas of application

  • Micromaterials processing: labeling, marking, cutting, removing, and creating surface structures on plastics and metals
  • Electronics: trimming resistors and conductors, marking ceramic substrates, and removing thin layers on transparent substrates
  • Metal processing: adhesive preparation, metal surface cleaning

CSS-45 – Remote Spectral Detector – with build in shutter

The CSS-45 detector incorporates a powerful microprocessor which performs not only data acquisition but also all necessary lighting calculations. Both USB 2.0 and RS 485 interfaces are standard enabling the flexible configuration of single and multi-detector based systems. An optional software development kit supports integration into third party application software.

With its wide spectral range from 360 nm to 830 nm the CSS-45 is ideal, for example, as a high accuracy photometric and colorimetric detector (according to CIE S023). The precision diffuser provides excellent cosine correction (f2 ≤ 1.5 %). The optical bandwidth correction feature (CIE 214) further improves the quality of the spectral measurement data. Manual and auto gain settings enable a wide measurement from 1 lx to 350,000 lx for illuminance and color measurements.

Additional functions of the CSS-45:

The embedded intelligence of the CSS-45 enables the direct output of a comprehensive range of radiometric, photometric and colorimetric parameters based on the measured spectral data.

Additionally, specialist functions are incorporated for particular applications fields including:
•    Horticultural lighting – PAR measurement Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) in μmol/m²s.
•    Human Centric Lighting – melanopic irradiance and illuminance, melanopic daylight equivalent illuminance.
•    Phototherapy – total irradiance for bilirubin, Ebi, in mW/cm2 (IEC 60601-2-50) as well as average spectral irradiance in μW/cm2/nm (American Academy of Pediatrics).

The robust housing and its connectors are splash proof, and therefore suitable for use in industrial applications. A variant with protective glass dome in front of the diffuser is available.

A special feature of the detector is its remote-controlled shutter, which allows a dark level measurement to be made at any time.

Beamage M2 Meter

Gentec Electro-Optics, Inc. is proud to announce its new solution for measuring the quality of a laser beam. With the Beamage-M2 system, M2 measurements are taken directly in our software which controls both the acquisition and the calculations. An easy step-by-step procedure is clearly indicated directly in the software and allows the user to get ISO-compliant M2 measurements in less than a minute.

Features:

  • Automated translation stage: 200 mm of travel for 400 mm of beam path variation
  • 50 mm (2”) optics: Less aberrations and more flexibility
  • Easy to handle & operate
  • Two external beam-steering mirrors for easy alignment
  • Set of 3 lenses included to cover a broad range of lasers
  • Three ND filters mounted in-line on a flip-mount for 8 different levels of attenuation
  • Intuitive software that is fully compliant with the ISO-11146 Standard

Why Wasatch for spectroscopy

‘What makes a world-class spectrometer – one that allows you to push the boundaries of analytical research but not manufacturing capabilities?’

Wasatsh demo systemThat’s a question we at Wasatch have been asked and debated at length over many years. It was this question we set out to answer at Wasatch Photonics when we designed our new WP-series spectrometers for Raman, fluorescence, and VIS through NIR. Our goal was to build a product with a robust opto-mechanical design, electronic interfaces that match use cases for academic, industry and OEM’s alike, and – most importantly – the ability to make those precious photons work for you through elegant optical design.  As such, we have combined our experience and skills with what the market requested to deliver on these goals with our new WP-series spectrometers. In the content to follow, you will see the competitive data to support our performance claims, and a little of how we have gone about it.

  • Analytical grade data at a compact system price
  • > 10x greater sensitivity – take high quality Raman spectra over 10x times faster
  • Trace-level limit of detection – 20x improvement in LoD for fluorescence or Raman
  • Superior stray light suppression for high SNR – transmissive grating design
  • High thermal stability & unit-to-unit reproducibility – ideal for OEMs
