SN Series High Power subnanosecond Laser from Photonics Industries
Photonics Industries’ (PI), the pioneer of intracavity solid-state harmonic lasers, has introduced a new diode pumped solid state laser to fill the gap in high power laser availability in the subnanosecond (i.e., 150ps to 1ns) pulse width range. Such lasers have been identified as beneficial for variety of micromachining and microelectronics applications, but until now, have been limited to only a few Watts of average power.
Photonics Industries now offers a unique high intensity (i.e., high brightness/high peak power) sub-ns laser alternative for novel laser based material processing, research and development, as well as, scientific applications, such as:
Industrial apps
o Glass cutting, i.e., GorillaTM glass
o Ablative drilling
o Scribing – Thin-Films, etc.
o Solar cell processing
o Dicing/singulation – LEDs, etc.
o Marking, Engraving – FPCB, Ceramics, Intraglass/subsurface Glass, Sapphire, Diamond
o Materials Processing – e.g. Repair of Memories, Displays, etc.
o Inspection and Process including Environmental Control
Scientific apps
o LIDAR
o Bathymetry
o Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) Spectroscopy
o Pump laser
o MALDI-TOF Spectroscopy
o Laser Micro Dissection
Photonics Industries has several standard SN Series laser available up to:
- 70W @ 1064nm
- 50W @ 532nm
- 25W @ 355nm
all with an excellent TEM00 mode quality (i.e., M2 <1.3) at high repetition rates (up to 20MHz) in a compact, industrial grade, small all-in-one form factor.
The ability to have the flexibility of sub-ns to ~100ps pulse width selection in combination with the highest power commercially available lasers uniquely positions PI to address the myriad of novel existing and emerging next generation laser based material processing manufacturing applications.
